A recent sketch that I hadn’t posted yet. I have to be in a certain obessive-compulsive fram of mind to have the patience for this type of rendering. I had been doing a lot of work with black ink and ft like I was pushing the limits of mid-tones with cross-hatching. This image was an experiment with using a couple of mid-tone inks (sepia and umber) to quickly establish tone.
